Lunar New Year

The SmithsonianAmerican Art Museum did a Zoom Chinese Festival to mark the Lunar New Year.

It was in two parts - some cultural short films from China showing various Lion dances, paper cutting, chinese knots and dough figure making.

The second part was a fully covid compliant dance show from the Madison Chinese Dance Academy - three segments in my Blip and we were shown five ways of writing "year of the ox" in traditional caligraphy styles and the basics of fan dancing.

A damn good hour on a freezing cold day.
