The First Bit

First of all, I am happy to report that I am now the proud owner of a new computer with a keyboard that actually works!  I am so happy to be back in the 21st Century!

We drove to Maine today with yet more boxes of things for the new houses.  When we stopped in to check on the Westport Island house, we were delighted to see that our builders had taken it upon themselves to unpack and assemble the bookcase unit we'd ordered some weeks ago, and which has until recently been squatting in the middle of the living room in two large cardboard boxes as painters laboured around them.  So now we have the very first piece of furniture in place (if looking a little lonely!).  Slow progress, but a positive move in the right direction!

PS:  That hideous black "witch's hat" chandelier is scheduled for removal very soon!
