Another Marsh Snag
And now I know
Where are those stars
That slip like jewels
Between the night's
most jealous fingers.
At dusk I found them,
Where the marsh had hidden them --
In a silver pocket
Of her grey-green gown!

Something to consider if you ever decide to follow a coyote's tracks out onto a frozen marsh. Coyotes, it turns out, are lighter than most people, so they can walk over icy patches that a person might fall into up to their thigh. Most of you probably know this already, but apparently it's easy to forget when you're all caught up in the moment.
