Bird of Paradise

We've left the green tropical Maui and arrived at San Diego for the Ashtanga Yoga Confluence.

After an overnight flight, we were happy to get our room at the hotel, walk around the nearby area which is very nice (the beach is right next to the hotel) and have a rest before the opening ceremony.

To be gathered with so many fellow yoga students from around the world; to be able to share the space with all the senior teachers who were so close to Guruji; to be part of this event, learn from and practice with these people feels so extremely special.

I feel very privileged to be able to be here and for the time with my teacher in Maui.

P.S. This is Mercer, a blue green macaw. He is one of the resident parrots of the hotel. They also have a fish pond, a duck pond and budgies. I have never seen anything like it!
