The hassle of getting them to walk a mile and a bit is very much worth it for the longer run, better snow and much more spread-out human obstacles at Holyrood Park under the crags compared to the wee tumps at Leith Links. The absence of the normal Tuesday afternoon meeting meant I could take a very spacious lunch through weather cycling through limited-visibility heavy snowfall to bright sunshine.
