Seedy Great Tit

Today is the only weekday this week when it is due to remain dry, so Cathy and I took our chance while we could and went for a (slightly extended in her case) walk this morning.  We definitely had the best of the weather as it has been a bit more overcast and dull this afternoon.  

But the temperature is the big news, and what a contrast from last week - it is about 12 or 13C today - compare that with last week when the temperature was a good 10 degrees C lower.  Cathy has taken her chance and is busy pottering about in her garden while it is dry.

Needless to say the birds are loving it, and there is a lot of bird song out there today.  I caught this Great Tit eating the sun flower seeds from the feeder in the garden.  He's quite interesting as he places the seed between his feet on the little perch and then pecks at and eats the seed.
