The Watch House

Well the virus cases and deaths are down again. They usually are on Monday but let’s hope they can go even lower tomorrow.

Apart from the good news on numbers it would appear that if there was anything that could go wrong today it did.

So frustrating.

Today’s Blip is of the Watch House Coffee shop at the end of Bermondsey Street in London SE1. It’s a very tiny place that has been refurbished into a great coffee shop. It is located by a former graveyard and that it is how it got its name.

The Watch House was the home of the night watchman who was responsible for stopping body snatchers stealing bodies from the graveyard for the local doctors to teach future surgeons.
