Meet Alain and Larry

This is Alain (he asked me to ensure I spelled his name correctly) and his 13 year old companion Larry, who he adores. They have been inseparable since Larry was 6 weeks old.

I met Alain this morning whilst out looking for inspiration for today's blip. Whilst walking on the tow path, a voice shouted from behind me "Excuse me, I think you dropped this!", I turned around to see Alain offering me my glove which I hadn't known had fallen from my pocket.

For the next hour we walked, chatted and tried to solve the world's problems. I then realized, I had in front of me, my Blip for Friday.

Alain reads the most wonderful books, has the most beautiful signing voice I have ever heard and has lived "outside", as he put it, for the last 16 years through choice.

I explained all about Blip to him and he happily gave his permission for me to upload his portrait, if I so desired.
