Bun Day

Today is apparently Bun Day or Bolludagur in Iceland. The first of a three day festival before Lent. These delicious looking buns – mint, coconut, chocolate liquorice and chocolate caramel were sampled  by ‘Your Friend in Reykjavik’ to a drooling global Facebook audience. Next year Bolludagur falls on Feb 28, I must remember this and fully intend to be there. Cream buns will make a change from my usual Iceland fare of hot dogs and skyr. 
After this digital feast I was motivated to have my first run of the year. Run is a bit of a misnomer since it was more a jog/walk. It went better than I had expected and another intention is to aim to keep this up three times a week, providing my ankles hold up.
