Honeypot cottage teapot

Just one of my acquirements.

Those are my grandma's in the background. The one on the right is my dads mother, Florence, she died when she was 25, giving birth to her 4th child which she should never have had because she had TB and was too ill. My dad was 6 his sisters were 5 and 8. The one you can just see on the left is her sister Margaret, who brought my dad and his sisters into her home (the reason is complicated but suffice to say their father was not very kind to them) and brought them up along with her partners 3 daughters and her own son. she was my step grandma and dads Auntie but she was grandma to me and mam to my dad and his sisters. Her partners daughter (my mum) eventually married my dad.

It's been a busy day, dog walking, shopping (big shop this week) baking, a bacon and onion pie for tea and mince pies and jam tarts. Plus lot of other things, I was glad to sit down and listen to Boris at 5pm.

The vaccination programme seems to be coming on very well indeed and maybe we can just see land in the far distance, but it is still a long way away. These people who are having parties are absolutely mad and I am glad they are fining them.

It's been a lovely day today and it was so pleasant walking the dogs quite warm and almost spring-like. not before time, I think we were all getting fed up of the cold, I know I was.

Hopefully a quiet day tomorrow for me.
