Suprise finding

We were traveling down a road near Seneca Falls and surprised a flock of 5 snow buntings who were foraging on the side of the road. A short distance along were, sitting in the middle of the road ,7 or 8 horned larks. Needless to say , we stopped. I got out the camera. I very quietly inched forwards , shooting off a few photos here and there , and.... a car came in the other direction and they all flew off. See extras.
