Garden Birds

After fourteen years our bird feeding station finally gave up the ghost and bent over in the prevailing wind just before we hit the big freeze, I ordered another slightly more robust feeding station but have been unable to erect it until yesterday because of alll the snow and ice around. This obviously put me in the mood for a bit of bird photography so I set up my biggest lens telezoom combination ( equivalent to 960mm on. an slr) and waited for the bird to return. I much prefer to shoot the birds in their natural environment away from the feeder but in order to finish my montage I needed to use at least one of the shots at the feeder.
