Common Walk

I stopped off at Bookham Common on the way home today.  For some reason I always struggle to find this one, and today ended up in a different car park to the one I usually use, but still with direct access to the main tracks.

With the last of any snow and ice gone, apart from the partly frozen ponds, any foot paths off the tracks were quadmires. However, the benefit of taking them were no people, bikes, horses and the opportunity for shots like this of one of last year's bracket fungus ... a bit shrivelled and cobweb covered, but still managing to glow in the backlit lighting.
