The Vestry And A Wicked Irreverancy.

The vestry is the name given to the room where the minister puts on his vestments before conducting the church service.

Over the years and decades I have met many ministers from several denominations and religions.

For the most part they all have a great sense of humour and fun.

Today I received a great vestment joke from a member of the clergy who is a former client and friend.

"I once heard of a pastor who was giving a series of children’s talks on the symbols of the church. The subject of this particular was about vestments.

The pastor asked the children "Why do you think I wear this collar?"

One child responded immediately "Because it kills fleas and ticks for up to five months!"

Today’s Blipfoto shows some of the rabbits in our vestry which is something of a "Glory hole".

The red and yellow rabbit is a plaster cast painted by a child known as "Fireman Sam". Sam must be nearly forty years old now.

In the reflection of the glass frame the clothes pulley used to dry damp clothing is shown.

The snow is finally melting and disappearing.
