Unexpected endings!
We spent a much-needed couple of hours at Wakehurst Place this afternoon - it's such a lovely and varied place and we're very lucky to live only a few minutes away. This crossing near the entrance always makes me laugh (it doesn't take much!) and in the background you can see the amazing Millennium Seed Bank, which I have been privileged to see 'behind-the-scenes' many times.
When we got home, my husband had a phone call offering him a vaccination appointment for Thursday. He's younger than me, doesn't go anywhere except out for a walk and, apart from taking statins to keep control of his cholesterol, has no underlying health conditions. It's all very odd, especially as we know several much older people with quite serious conditions who are still waiting.
It did remind me, though, of the labyrinth at Wakehurst that I played a very small part in helping to make several years ago when I was a volunteer there. It's called 'Unexpected Endings' - definitely the right title for today! Although I didn't take a photo of the labyrinth this time, I've found a picture in my old Blipfoto journal that I took of it eight years ago.
