Shrove Tuesday

I've taken a recent liking to cooked pears!

I fancied a really different Pancake Day meal today. It was rare for me to be completely out of eggs and rare for my milk lady to forget my order for some. Luckily we have a choice of a village shop and a dairy nearby.

So! I stewed the pears in apple juice with brown sugar to make a syrup while The Man made the pancake batter. It just needed a scoop of ice cream to complete the dish.

Work done at the lodge today:-

The finished cupboard doors were hung
The drawer fronts were being difficult so not fitted
The remainder of the doors were given 1st priming coat
2 doors given 3rd (final) coloured coat.
