Popped their caps!

I meant to post this yesterday but didn’t get to it. This is the morning after my last blip was taken. These buds are opening beautifully- and I really like how they have little caps on the buds - not unlike a gum nut. Which, as they are gum tree flowers, is probably not surprising! It’s been a very wet summer here, and I wonder if this is why this little tree has flowered twice this year? Tomorrow’s blip has to be the open flower, yes?
