The distinctive Whitestone buildings in Victorian architecture is such a stunning feature of Oamaru.

At the end of the street is the sign to show it was the Lanes Emulsion building. Some kids hated it and others loved that white, velvety tonic we were dosed on as children. Wonder how many remember it.
