Trees and tunnels

I included trees for Joe Tree day. Thank you for setting up the site, Joe!  We went for a walk along the River Mersey while we waited for a car MOT.
You can just about see the mouths of the tunnels in the rock. There are miles of them and they go right to the centre of Stockport. They were used as air raid shelters during the WW2. There’s a hospital down there, toilets and bunk beds. You can visit them to see it all. I’ve put a close up of the tunnel entrances in extras.
