A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words

Today I chaperoned two students who wanted to participate in the annual ESU (English Speaking Union) International Public Speaking Competition at Hisar School, about forty minutes out of Istanbul, in lovely Kemerburgaz countryside. When it was all over they were both smiling about their certificates and I managed to get my camera out quickly enough to capture the moment.

BBC news yesterday that EU bankers' bonuses will be capped at the equivalent of a year's salary has apparently angered many money men. Can't put a price on seeing students so joyful, although I could describe the value of enriching lives.
