Ivy and Cottoneaster in our garden
Ash Wednesday.
I have followed Holy Mass online and put a cross on my forehead using the ash I blessed first, from a sandalwood incense cone. This was the best I could do.
I did my housework in the morning.
My dear Mum is in hospital and tests are being done. Prayers are being said for Mum to recover.
Thank you all very much for your kind prayers and positive healing thoughts. Pray for my sister and me if you can because it is a distressing uncertain time.
I needed a walk. It is quite mild so I went up the street to Best One and bought The People's Friend. Then I walked around our area of Eachill and noticed the crocuses in yellow and purple. There were clumps of single and double snowdrops as well. It felt like a good peaceful solitary walk.
Take good care everyone as we begin the 40 Days of Lent.
Among a few other things, I am following a website called Sarx. It is a daily focus on being a Christian and considering how to be conscious of the needs of animals. I think it is a well designed site.
