Mullion Cove.

The milder weather and almost spring like day the other day, plus signs that some restrictions may be eased somewhat, made me think about Mullion Cove once more.
We have our deferred week from last May booked for the first week of June this year, and I am beginning to feel as if we will make it........
I just love the Lizard in Cornwall. Far less commercialised than the St Ives bit. A vast majority being a National Nature Reserve.
The south west coastal path around the peninsula has some spectacular scenery and coves.
I have not really seen anything I particularly liked to blip today as I was busy with one or two household chores.
I stripped all the grandchildren's beds in the loft bedroom, and the bedding from the spare room, which all went in the wash, two separate loads. I managed to hang it out on the line before lunch, as it was then a mild morning with a blustery wind.
I enjoyed seeing it all being blowing about as I knew it would smell of lovely fresh air once I brought it back indoors again.
I sat down with a coffee mid morning to begin the Lectio 365 Lent series being the first morning today, Ash Wednesday.
We have the App downloaded on our phones and a small group of friends are following it along with us.
We don't all read it at the same time as quite a lot of them are working fulltime, albeit at home!
It  begins with a  prayer, then a Psalm, and a short meditation on a Bible passage,
Lectio began in the 3rd Century led by the early church leader Origen.
Good to have a pause in the day.
After lunch I vacuumed the loft bedroom whilst Stephen was out delivering something to one of our friends.
When he was home again we went out for a walk. Not a long one but it was lovely seeing  more and more spring flowers and swelling buds on the horse-chestnut trees. Fat and sticky ones!
Nearing home it began to spatter with rain, but we got back in time to bring the almost dry washing indoors.
Some of it is draped over the radiators and there is that lovely outdoor freshness emanating from them
I did a quick clean of the bathroom then, and as I deposited some dry bedding on to the bed in the back bedroom I looked  at my painting of Mullion on the wall and went to fetch my camera.
So here it is on my blip.
