Jämshögby Station House
Opened in 1901, the railway went bankrupt in 1903 but was bought out by stakeholders.
From the start there was a big problem with people walking on the line (the shortest route between villages), but rather than trying to keep people off the tracks the railway ingeniously cashed in by selling 'walking' tickets. Or possibly 'running' if you didn't hear approaching trains.
The final passenger train ran on the last Sunday in September 1984, and the station became a private house.
