Pizza!

The deed is done. My first dose of the vaccine this morning. 

It was all a bit of an anticlimax. No queuing. No mix ups. No pain. No side effects (yet). 

I got the Pfizer flavour. To be quite honest, Made in Mainz gave me a better feeling than the alternative. 

The staff were all NHS Scotland except for the vaccinators - Commandos. Mine looked like he was coming up for 15. It is a intra-muscle injection, so he could hardly miss. 

As we went through the preliminaries, I did have a flashback to a trainee GP fishing about in my arm trying to find a vein with blood in it, but I had no time to get anxious. 

Junior brought me pizza in the evening. I had a bottle of Georgian red ready to help it down and aid the digestion. I feel more positive than I have for a while.
