These flowers have been particularly photophobic for many a long moon, in that, however crisp the foliage, I never could capture a decent flower shot.
So - I decided to attack it with metaphorical violence today.
"Not only, but also."©? did I get a half decent shot of both shades, but also at sufficiently similar angles to need minimal rotation.
I learnt, as recently as these last couple of months, that there are two varieties of Schlumbergera and initially thought I had both here; then realised the petal shapes are only different by virtue of camera angle as the leaves are "way too similar to be different"
(How's THAT for olympic quality Oirish?
Next job - eventually - identify and "get" the other variety?
