Usual view of the College building at Inverness Campus.
First day back in at work since 18th December. An extra early start and cycling there was a big shock to the system. The number of us inside perhaps peaked at five. I was in to help an insurance engineer do some safety testing of equipment. More of the same tomorrow.
Whilst in, took the opportunity to have a go with the 3D printer, making a part designed by a Student for a project. As it was going to take nine hours, I just loaded up the file and set it going. Will see tomorrow if it worked or not.
It being so very much milder today made it great for cycling. Only a few icy bits lurking around at the shaded sides of the roads and tracks. The dawn chorus was more noticeable, with the birds also feeling some relief after that prolonged cold spell we had. Thick ice over much of the lochans at the campus, and many more ducks than usual there, including a single male Goldeneye. They were mostly crammed into the small ice-free areas.
