Shaggy dog story!

Took the afternoon off as the weather was so nice.
OH needed some new boots so we headed off to the nearest retail park to try and track some down. He'll buy a pair of boots and then wear those boots and only those boots until they wear out or die (every day for a year sometimes) and his current ones were not just dead they were decomposing.

Nothing jumped out at him. We have already looked on a number of occasions and to say I was getting a bit fed up with it would be an understatement, He wouldn't say what kind he was fancying but just that he would know then when he saw them - men honestly!

We went into every shop that sold footwear but to no avail. Of course they were all getting rid of their winter ranges so it had to be today or never.
After a lot of bickering we ended up back in Trespass and a pair that he hadn't noticed on the first viewing were spotted.

No price on them - asked the cashier to price them and were shocked when the machine said £99.99 - gulp!
Mind you by this point I was ready to pay anything for some blessed boots just to stop the moaning and whinging. He tried them on as I had a quick surrepticious check at prices on the interweb- £49.95! I whispered to him as the shop assistant annoyingly wouldn't leave us alone.
A great bit of acting from him saying the toes were far too narrow etc and we left the shop with nothing, but I have just ordered the very same boots from Amazon for £42. Just shows you how much of a mark up they put on them in the shops.

I dropped him off at work as he was starting at 3pm today and then off home to pick up Bailey and headed to Portobello beach. Unfortunatly the tide was right in so there wasn't much beach to run about on but a bit of stick throwing and fetching in the sea tired him out nicely (the car is now full of damp towels and sand - occupational hazard of having a dog at the beach).

Blip in the bag, I think a lazy evening in in front of the telly is what is called for later.
