Giant white radishes

There are fields of these around here at the moment, all planted last autumn. They are eventually ploughed in as a type of green manure, but some people sneak a few away and cook them.
My walking buddy Carmen picked one to put in her stir fry when we were out this morning. She has to be careful as if she carries it too low, Elvis often takes a bite!
