Red-bellied Woodpecker

We mostly dodged the bullet today - ended up with about an inch or two of wet snow mixed with ice/sleet. The birds have been very present, of course. This is a female red-bellied woodpecker. She is pretty much at the top of the pecking order, I notice. Even the blue jays give her a wide berth. Which makes sense, when you look at her beak!
