Wet and windy walk!

After lunch we got ready and drove down the hill to Bredbury Hall to meet mum (and uncle Marmoo briefly came to say hi) and go for a walk along the new path into Woodbank Park.
It was sunny and fairly warm when we set off, Thomas and Chloe enjoying seeing the sheep and climbing on the bridge over the river to look for ducks, but by the time we climbed up the steps into the park the rain arrived. It rained on and off and the wind was bitterly cold at times.
We headed round to the playground and Thomas climbed up the spiderweb and Chloe went on the swings for a while. We walked through to Vernon Park and stopped at the cafe for a takeaway hot drink and to put Chloe in her carrier. Thomas went to play on the drums (he now wants a set!) and then we headed back though Woodbank to the old hall and back down the steps (a bit precarious after the rain!) to the path and back over the river.
Just short of 5.5miles - around 2.5 of which Chloe managed by herself!!
