Sunrise, Chalkwell Beach

I woke up intentionally early as the forecast was clear at dawn and I imagine I only have about a month or so left before the sun starts rising behind the land and buildings. I must admit I miscalculated and didn’t expect the tide to be so far in but I plonked myself on a drainage outlet to get roughly the view I had in mind. The waves were caused by the wake of one of the large ships going down the Thames, probably about a mile out. I was was quite lucky as they add some needed foreground interest.
