Progress So Far - Day 3
3rd day of working the wall. It rained yesterday, so took the opportunity to give my back a rest. Mrs SoL suggested that we go out to buy some new trainers. My current ones squeak when I walk because the soles have become so hard that bits are breaking off. The young man in the shop asked whether I would be using them to run. After I had stopped laughing, he realised it was a bit of a daft question. Anyhow....
Today I got going with the wall - building process now, rather than dismantling. Mrs SoL headed to the shower early today, while I plodded on. Its far easier (although rather monotonous) to build, but once the base is down, it moves reasonably fast. At around the time I was wondering if an emergency G&T would sustain me, Mrs SoL appeared with some fizz (we have no G apparently and my single alcoholic beer was never going to cut the mustard); got to fix that gin stock shortfall as a priority.
Off to shower and a salmon dinner, being prepared by Mrs SoL as I type.... onwards and upwards.
