Hellebore
It's been a grey and intermittently wet day... but I've still managed both a quick garden visit to Jack, Frieda and Marianna, and a walk with an old friend (Marie) around a local reservoir (More Hall, near Wharncliffe Side). Marie and I compared notes on our recent Astra Zeneca vaccines. Neither of us has had major side effects, but we have both felt more tired than usual - a bit like having some of the symptoms of a cold, without the congestion. The overwhelming feeling, of course, is one of relief and appreciation.
So there have been sociable times today - very welcome.
This hellebore is one I've planted out recently (one of the recent garden centre acquisitions). We have a shady and narrow flower bed at the side of the house, next to a short flight of steps. So far, this rather unpromising spot is suiting the hellebores; with luck, they'll spread a bit.
