Boredom-beating baking

Little Miss B was growing rather restless this afternoon, through boredom, we decided. When I suggested she help me bake a banana cake - she ran over, arms outstretched. As the kitchen floor is beautifully clean, we didn't need to worry about being able to reach, and she really enjoyed helping Granny with the mixing.

The cake came out of the oven while we were eating our fish and chips. She looked pleased with the finished loaf, and understood it was too hot to touch or eat yet. But tomorrow, if the last one I baked is anything to go by, she will be wolfing it down with the best of us.
