Bidford-on-Avon
Today is St.David's day but it seems nobody told the daffodils, most of whom stayed stubbornly closed.
It was a very cold, grey day but we were determined to get out this afternoon. Originally we were going to see Lincoln at the Picture House, but instead decided to take Dylan for a walk along the riverside at Bidford.
Bidford-on-Avon (to give it its full name) is a small town/large village about eight miles from Stratford. A lot of it is modern development, though it does have an old village centre and a great riverside walk, part of the Stratford to Marlcliff Avon Valley Footpath (9.5 miles).
The photo shows the old bridge at Bidford with the church and village in the background. We walked to Marlcliff Lock and Weir and back, two or three miles, then back home to warm up with a cup of tea.
Other photos I took on the walk can be seen here if you're interested.
