The age of 23

The eldest one turned 23. She thinks it's a funny age, no longer super young in the sense of being an 'adult in training', like she's felt between 18 and 22, now more of a proper adult but without any real achievements yet! I can definitely see the maturity over the last year and her company I very much enjoy as our conversations have become more encompassing and insightful.

She will finish her degree this summer and a return to New Zealand (where she was born) for a year or so is on the cards...trying not to think too hard what that will mean to not see her for long periods.

But so grateful she's been in my life for 23 years, and full of joy thinking about the journey she will go on in the years ahead and sharing it with her...
