Banana bread with biltong butter

This is the second entry in my self imposed calendar recipe challenge
 
I am not doing them in chronological order as February included ice cream (too cold) and an elusive ingredient.
 
 
Today we have an unusual combination; a standard banana bread loaf but with butter biltong. I have never heard of butter biltong but ploughed ahead anyway.
 
Vegans and vegetarians need to look away now while we explain "biltong"
 
Biltong if you don't know it is a form of dried, cured meat originating in Southern Africa.
 
Preserving food by drying and curing dates back to ancient times, biltong being just one form and is extremely popular in South Africa.
 
There are many shops in the U.K. catering for the ex pat population.
 
My loaf is always dark and I don't know why the photograph in the calendar is so light.
 
Should you try it? 
 
No, just enjoy your banana bread and biltong separately.
