Old photos on DVD’s.

I’ve been spending an intermittently wet and showery afternoon backing up old photos and videos which are on DVD’s.
Laptops these days generally do not have a dvd drive slot.
Well at least mine has not one installed.
We have a portable cd/dvd player which I am using to transfer the precious memories on to an external hard drive. I also use it to back up files and documents.
It takes time.
Over the past couple of years I’ve gradually sorted through old photos in albums, scanned and saved a lot and discarded others.
It is quite a journey down memory lane.
