Fine feet

Watching ducks for a very long time makes the day count. These two drakes were endeavouring to make some sort of an impression on the female in the middle. They took turns making a big thing of taking off and landing in the water about six feet below the wall. I suspect they were wasting their time because it’s the depth of colour in their beaks that determines who gets a mate, apparently.
I particularly liked their feet which all looked consistently the same bright orange, reminiscent of sock eye salmon.
