Beech tree bark

Just been admiring the bark on lots of different trees in Upper Reelig wood. Much milder day today....I didn't need gloves and I even took my coat and scarf off while I was in the wood!
It felt extremely peaceful up there today - quite different to down below in the Glen where the cars from all the visitors had filled up the carpark and were overspilling onto the road verge near the entrance.
In the extras is the very green, mossy part of the wood that has a little winding path I like to walk along. It's sort of hidden away in the middle of everything else, like a separate little world in itself.
