Ben Rinnes...

from Grant's Fort on a beautiful, sunny afternoon. There are still patches of ice on the tracks so care has to be taken . It was hot in the sun and lovely to explore this amazing area again. There is a huge gash in the land, creating a steep sided bowl with a trickle of a burn running in the bottom.
It's thought Grant's Fort was a wooden dwelling situated on a knoll surrounded on all sides by burns and dated from the sixteenth century.
