Springlike Biking

A lovely morning for a 12.5km / 7.5mile bike ride.  We say "springlike" because in Scotland there's a pretty good chance of more winter to come, so we hesitate to call it spring.

In the afternoon we did some bike cleaning and maintenance - there was a lot of accumulated mud to get off and this was the first day in a while warm enough to make using water outside appealing.

Later Cyclops went for a run and CyclopsJnr biked along - so that was another 5km.

We had a family Roast Beef dinner together to celebrate his return to school tomorrow...

He has a new class teacher coming (his previous one is just starting maternity leave) and earlier he said he was worried she might be nervous, and said he would be happy to teach her the alphabet to make her feel more at home.  We're hoping that won't be necessary, but it seemed to be a kind and genuinely well intentioned thought...

It never occurred to him that he might be nervous getting a new teacher of course.
