Carry a big stick / Tragen einen großen Stock

“Speak softly and carry a big stick, you will go far” (Theodore Roosevelt).

My boy hasn’t quite mastered speaking softly - rather the opposite - but that’s a fine big stick he’s marching round the frozen lake!

Nonetheless, I’m quite sure he’ll go far.
