Damp

It has been raining all day and I have been waiting for the rain to take photos of the water that forms outside our house in puddles and in the street drainage channel to show to M. le Maire. He has said that the problem is our house but in fact the road surface and concrete channels are worn and water seeps through and causes damp in our bedroom on the other side of the wall. I think I will have to wait until we have a real storm to get more convincing photos. It is a nuisance that he will not accept responsibility and I am scratching my head as to how to proceed further given that I cannot resurface the street myself!
