A kip, rub and a scratch

I took Eric into the sitting room for a sleep, he won't be put down so he just sleeps on me, and Jonty followed us in.
He also had a sleep and woke up after a while.
Nothing like a rub of the back, a good scratch "AH! STOP SCRATCHING THE CARPET!" but in a whisper because Eric is still asleep on me, followed by a rub of the face.
Unfortunately for Jonty there are some parts that just cannot be scratched on waking up.
