Its funny how you can remember words from songs from your younger days but can't remember what you did last week.

Anyway it is the little things in life that catch our attention. This water meter was manufactured (is that the right word) in Wabash , Indiana  United States. It made its way 3,600 miles and landed at the top of my road. I was wondering with all the manufacturing jobs leaving the United States if Ford Meter Box Company was still in operation. I Googled them and am delighted to say that they are going strong. The have a very informative website and are still employing people so that is good news. We have lost a lot of jobs in Ireland so it is good to see Wabash hanging on to theirs.
