Beware
Cars can have trouble with flat batteries.
But it seems iPhone batteries can have the opposite.
This was Mrs. K’s old iPhone. She got a new SE last year. Originally this was Knottman’s iPhone 2S bought in 2009 and inherited by Mrs. K. a few years later when I got a 6S.
In recent times Mrs. K has used it just for music as it has a plug for earphones which her new one lacks.
This morning she discovered that the two parts of the phone were being forced apart. On pulling the two sections apart the battery slowly expanded. Fortunately it did not explode and is now in a safe place until it can be properly disposed of.
