Bluegate Pond

There’s a pond on Wimbledon Common that appears to be labelled as Bluegate Pond on some of the maps. I had no idea what it was called when I took this picture this afternoon but the blue name seems very appropriate today. The early afternoon was lovely, almost spring-like, and in a complete contrast with recent days. We went for a walk and, in spite of some muddy paths, managed to find some secluded areas of the common.
