St Edmund's Pippin

Today I planted a 1 year 'maiden' apple tree in our village Community Orchard which was started a year ago. There were a few varieties that were out of stock at the nurseries where we bought the others. Where possible we wanted Suffolk varieties (since the village is in Suffolk) and luckily we were able to get this "St Edmund's Pippin" variety from Keepers Nursery in Kent this winter. we're still looking for a couple more, so maybe next year...
