Harbor Sunrise

This was definitely the best part of my commute this morning, and it came very early on. It was, incidentally, taken from the spot where the town goose lives (seen in a previous post). Fortunately I didn't slide off the embankment and into the ocean trying to pull over.

It rained last night, but in the cold of the morning the roads were covered with a thin sheen of ice. They looked normal, but they definitely weren't. I got stuck behind a slow moving town truck salting the road -- and was glad. Then as soon as I got off island I got stuck behind another one -- and was still (sorta) glad. The trip took over twice as long a usual and I felt strung out before the day even started.

It was a nice sunrise though.
